The lady lion volleyball team looks ahead to an exciting season with 10 new additions to the team. With returning 2nd Team All Conference Sophomores, Nikaia Lydia of Inglewood, Colorado and Kendall Toliver of Wichita Falls, TX, the team looks to have a competitive start. Also returning for the lions is Spring TAMU-Commerce transfer, Martyna Lewinksa from Wielizcka, Poland, and NJCAA 2nd Team All-Academic honoree Maria Clara Gadelha Cruz from Brasilia, Brazil.

The team brings in 10 freshman including a few local athletes: Ava Badillo and Madisyn Hicks of Boyd, Emily Metzler of Lindsay, Marlee Howard of S&S, and Grace Reinhardt of Denton.

Also from the lonestar state include Joy-Lece Bateman of Lancaster, Emarei Brandon of City View, Kassidy Paul of Edgewood, and Makayla Green of Galveston. And finally, freshman Jamey Darwin from Benson, Arizona joins the lady lions.

The team plays in a few scrimmages before taking on the Midland College Invitational on August 24th-26th. Go lions!
