Volleyball Clinches Spot at Regionals

North Central Texas College's lady lion volleyball team secures their spot for the regional tournament this week. The win against Ranger College on Wednesday, October 25th places the lady lions at the number 2 seed for Region V North. 

High performers for the match included sophomore Brooke Hutchings and Christallynn Tate who each put up 11 kills. Sophomore Shae Pruiett added 24 assists with 19 digs, in combination with freshman setter Kendall Toliver who contributed 11 assists and 14 digs. The setter duo combined for 10 more kills, and freshman middle blocker, Madyson Nunez, also added 5 kills. Freshman Nikaia Lydia put up 6 kills with 12 digs, along with sophomore Summer Dancy-Vasquez who contributed 7 more digs. Kyla Metzler also earned 14 digs.

With a 10-3 conference record, and a 20-12 overall record, NCTC sits second in conference with one more match to go. On Saturday, October 27th, the team will travel to Hill College for the final match of the regular season, and then will head to Weatherford College for the regional tournament the following week.
