The lady lion starting sophomore middle blocker, Christallynn Tate, earned the NTJCAC offensive player of the week award for September 24-30. This is Tate's second time receiving the award for NCTC.

To help secure the 5 set win over Vernon College, Tate had 19 kills, 3 blocks, 4 aces, 4 digs, and an assist. Against Ranger College, Tate added 13 kills, 4 blocks, 3 aces and a dig to win the match in 3. Currently, Tate is sitting in the top 3 in NJCAA for solo blocks and top 10 in total blocks. 

With strong offensive efforts from Christallynn, and the help of a well-rounded team effort and sophomore leadership, the lady lions continue their 4-win streak taking matches over Ranger College and 2022 Region V North Champions, Hill College in clean sweeps.
