Conference play continues on for the lady lions volleyball team after a 3-2 start. The team took a big win on the road at Vernon College on September 28th. Starting the first set off strong, the lady lions took a 5-1 lead to get ahead early. Taking the first set, 25-22, the team fell in the second set 19-25. Bouncing back in the third set, NCTC leaped for a 25-16 win. The fourth set was a nail biter, with the lady lions falling by two points, 23-25, and then taking charge early in the 5th set. NCTC won the 5th 15-9 to add another win for the season.

In conference play so far, NCTC has taken wins against Temple College, SWCC, and Vernon College, with losses to nationally ranked Weatherford College, and Cisco College. Looking ahead, Ranger College is next up on the schedule for Saturday, September 30th at 1:00 PM.
