Serving Up A New Volleyball Season

NCTC's volleyball team starts up the 2023 season under the leadership of head coach, Angie Bullard with scrimmages against Dallas College- Brookhaven and Cedar Valley College. Returning for the lady lions this season include 2022 1st team all-conference player Shae Pruiett, who put up some impressive numbers in the previous season. Also returning are sophomores Summer Dancy-Vasquez, Brooke Hutchings, and Christallynn Tate, who each had their share of contributions to the team's 2nd place conference finish in 2022.

11 new faces are welcomed to the lady lion volleyball team, these including:

Kyla Metzler (Lindsay, TX), Emily Barrett (De Kalb, TX), Maria Clara Gadelha Cruz (Brasilia, Brazil), Ahava Young (Tyler, TX), Kinlea Reeder (Houston, TX), Bethany Owens (Splendora, TX), Mattison Young (Glen Rose, TX), Nikaia Lydia (Centennial, CO), Kendall Toliver (Wichita Falls, TX), Madyson Nunez (Whitehouse, TX), and Jana Krstic (Belgrade, Serbia).

This week, the team looks to face Cedar Valley College on August 15th, and then will travel to Midland College for a competitive schedule facing New Mexico Junior College and Coastal Bend College on August 18th, and then Wharton County Junior College and Midland College on the 19th.
