The NCTC track teams had a very solid meet at the North Texas Bill Schmidt Classic on March 15th.

For the women's team, standout freshman Kyla Metzler hit a huge PR in the long jump event with a 6.06m jump (19' 10.75") to win the event. Returning All-American sophomore Ashlen Clem earned another first place finish for the lady lions in the 1500m race with a 4:47.15 time.

Anjelika Abraham, sophomore standout, also added a top 5 finish for the team in the 5000m race with a time of 18:39.79.

"Definitely the best marks the program has ever posted. This group of girls were really competitive at a large meet against tough DI and DII competition," Coach Lonnie says.

Both teams travel to OBU on March 28th and 29th for their next meet!
