Women's Golf Begins First Spring Season

Women's Golf Begins First Spring Season

After a successful Fall season behind the first-year golf crew, the NCTC women's golf team looks forward to a competitive Spring schedule. This past Fall, the three returners, Amaya Johnson, Natasha Johnson, and Kylee Rutledge, competed well for the university. This Spring, the golf team adds one more player to the roster, Maddie Knodle, a freshman from Lake Kiowa, TX.

"With the addition of Maddie to our roster, we now have the numbers to compete and qualify for team competitions. With only 3 on the team last year, we could only compete for individual medals. I am excited for this opportunity to put up both individual and team scores with the hopes of qualifying for nationals in all areas. We have a great group of golfers this year and I look forward to seeing their progress and future success," Head Coach Scott Langley says regarding the start of the spring season.

The lady lions will compete in their first tournament of the season on March 5-7 in College Station for The Happening Golf Tournament.
