On April 17th, the softball team played a double header against the Cisco College Lady Wranglers. As the NCTC community has been awaiting this season, Head Softball Coach Van Hedrick led his team to victory, earning his 1000th career win. The team took the game 9-3 to secure this amazing milestone.

Coach Hedrick has led the lady lion softball program from the start! Throughout his career at NCTC, Coach Hedrick has coached teams to multiple conference and regional championships, and is one of the winningest active coaches in the NJCAA. In 2019, Hedrick was inducted into the Region V North Hall of Fame, followed by the Coaches Hall of Fame in 2021. With his 1000th win against Cisco College, Hedrick continues to bring success to his career and to the NCTC softball program. 

The NCTC family congratulates Coach Hedrick on this fantastic achievement, though we know the count won't stop at 1000!
