Softball finishes up preseason with two more double-header wins against Dallas Christian College and Coffeyville Community College on February 23rd and 24th. The lions took clean victories over Dallas Christian winning 8-0 and then 9-0. Taryn Martin led the way with 2 RBI, including a triple, along with Mattie Wilkie who also earned 2 RBI. Raylea Parsons contributed a triple and a strong pitching game as she prevented the other team from scoring. A set of doubles from Kylie Malone and Alyssa Mendez also helped secure the game one win. In game two, Kennedy Schroeder pitched a great game for the lady lions, again keeping Dallas Christian from scoring. Riley Ferguson, Mickyna Lindsey, and Taryn Martin each added 2 RBI to contribute to the solid team win.

Against Coffeyville Community College, standout hitter, Annie-Klein Allgood earned her team 3 RBI, with two doubles. Lauren Moon also aided the lady lions with 2 RBI. Raylea Parsons hit a home run to further run the scoreboard up for the lions to win 9-1. For game two, Allgood brought another 3 RBI to the team, along with Malone who also added 3 more RBI with a triple. The pitching duo of Parsons and Schroeder further secured the 14-0 lady lion win.

The lady lions look to start conference this week, playing Ranger College at home on February 28th, and then they travel to Ranger on March 2nd. The double header starts at 12:00 PM for both games and the lady lions hope to see their lion fans in the stands for the conference home opener!
