Cross Country Travels to DBU for Opening Meet

NCTC's men's and women's cross country team opened at Dallas Baptist University on Saturday, September 2nd. The men's team finished in the top three, taking the third place title home, with the women's team achieving a top five finish.

Top performers for the meet included freshman newcomer, Brayden Murphey and sophomore returner standout Ashlen Clem, who finished as a track & field All-American last spring.

"We have a young group for the men's team but they competed at a high level for the first meet. The women's team are a solid bunch with multiple returners who can give us great leadership. I am excited to see where this group will take us this season," head coach Sean Lonergan states.

After unfortunately facing weather delays, the September 8th meet at Texas A&M University- Texarkana was cancelled. Next up for Lion's XC is another trip to Dallas Baptist University for the meet on Saturday, October 7th.
