Lions Compete at Oklahoma Baptist Invitational

NCTC runners fared well at Oklahoma Baptist University in the latest meet on March 29th and 30th. The women's 4x8 relay team of Katlen Clem, Maria Burgos, Glorie Kabuin, and Sharon Chepkorir qualified for nationals with a time of 9:44.62 and are currently leading the NJCAA in the event.

Other top finishers for the lions were Anjelika Abraham finishing 12th in the 5000m race and Ashlen Clem finishing 3rd in the 1500m run with a time of 4:43.53. Clem sits 5th in the NJCAA for this event. Kyla Metzler earned another top two finish in the long jump with a 5.70m mark as well.

For the men's team, Jose Torres and Brian Kiplangat earned top 6 finishes in the 800m race, with times of 1:56.52 and 1:56.56 respectively. Kiplangat took 9th in the 1500m race as well for the lions.

Next up for the lions is the Joe Gillespie Memorial Track Meet at Tarleton State University on Saturday, April 13th.
