The lion baseball team matched up with the Butler Community College Grizzly Bears at home on February 6th & 7th. Taking game one of the three game series, the lions surged ahead in the 5th inning, scoring 7 runs. The final score ended up 7-1- a big lion win. 

Standouts for the game included Kevin Diaz who earned 3 RBI with a home run, along with Vince Villegas with 2 RBI. Sean Rabe also earned a triple for the game. Jace Patton pitched 5 innings for the lions, earning 6 strikeouts, along with Charles Shadowens who earned 3 strikeouts for the team.

In the following two games, the lions fell 7-14 and 5-7 but fought hard to the finish.

Next up for the lions is a three game series with Paris Junior College at PJC on February 14th and 15th. Go lions!
