Lions Split with Chaps

On March 29th, the NCTC baseball team traveled to Vernon College to take on the chaps in a double header. Dropping the first game 10-11, the team came back to win the second game 14-9.

Standout players for game one included Drew Thompson and Cade Warmke, who each earned 3 RBI. Cole Rager contributed 2 more RBI, with a double, along with Caleb Cowan and Jeremiah Sanchez who added another RBI each. Aaron Monanez led the way pitching for the lions, and the team was just shy of winning by one run.

For the game two victory, Thompson again lead the team in RBI's with 4, followed by Austin Wallace and Adrian Guerrero with 3 each. Wallace and Cowan each earned home runs for the team to bump up the score. With strong batting, and a team effort on the pitching side, the lions earned a big win against Vernon.

The lion baseball team looks ahead to play two more conference double headers against Temple College at home on April 10th and away on April 13th.
