NCTC vs Seward County College
The lady lions traveled to Midlothian, Texas today to take on the powerful and highly ranked Seward County College from Kansas. Back to playing the Juco level teams was what the lady lions was looking forward to. The match came down to the final singles match with the match score tied at 4 all and the lady lions came up just short by the score of 5-4! Coach Waddell thinking he's found several excellent doubles duos as they continued their excellent play.
The doubles line ups were;
Line #1- Annunciata De-Souza / Yana Goranova won 8-4
Line #2- Yanniek Voogel / Mia Hoeddinghaus lost 7-9
Line #3- Birthe Nulens / Annabella Natalini won 8-5
The singles line up was;
Line #1- Annunciata De-Souza lost 6-7;2-6
Line #2- Yana Goranova won 7-6;6-2
Line #3- Yanniek Voogel lost 1-6;1-6
Line #4- Mia Hoeddinghaus lost 6-1;4-6;1-6
Line #5- Annabella Natalini won 6-2;6-4
Line #6- Diane De La Laurencie lost 4-6;4-6
Another close match that could of gone either way as the lady lions played their third straight one game lost to very powerful teams which is only making the lady lions that much better toward the end of the season and their three biggest matches and tournament's still coming up in April and May. The Southwest Juco Championships; Regional Matches, and then Nationals being held in Tucson, Arizona. Good luck to coach Brian Waddell and his lady lion's!
