NCTC vs Delta State University
Day four of the Lady Lion's four-day travels to Arkansas and playing against four Division II colleges and Universities continued on Sunday (Feb. 23rd). The lady lions continued playing excellent double even now with two of their top six players not playing due to illness (Yana Goranova & Diane De La Laurencie).
The doubles line up was;
Line #1- Annunciata De-Souza / Birthe Nulens won 7-6 (7-4)
Line #2- Yanniek Voogel / Mia Hoeddinghaus won 6-2
Line #3- Annabella Natalini / Mar Mendoza lost 2-6
The singles line up was;
Line #1- Annunciata De- Souza won 6-2;6-4
Line #2- Birthe Nulens lost 1-6;2-6
Line #3- Yanniek Voogel lost 0-6;6-7 (4)
Line #4- Mia Hoeddinghaus won 4-6;6-3;6-4
Line #5- Annabella Natalini lost 7-6;4-6;2-6
Line #6- Mar Mendoza lost 3-6; 4-6
Another tough lost for coach Brian Waddell and his lady lion's but to another strong Division II university. You can see progress in each and every match "said coach Waddell" plus it's nice to get compliments from the other coaches on our team play and overall team sportsmanship. The lady lions travel to Midlothian, Texas next Friday to play Seward County College (currently ranked in the top 10 nationally) before coming home on Saturday and playing Tabor College from Kansas.
