The lady lions look to celebrate sophomore night at 6pm on October 30th, at home, followed by a conference matchup with Temple College. Four sophomores will be honored at the start of the match, which include Kendall Toliver, Nikaia Lydia, Martyna Lewinska, and Maria Clara Gadelha Cruz.

Toliver, Lydia, and Cruz were each a part of the 2023 Conference Runners-Up and Regionally Qualifying Team, with Toliver and Lydia earning 2nd Team All Conference Honors as well. Cruz also earned NJCAA 2nd Team Academic All-American honors in Spring 2024. Lewinska started her career as a redshirt freshman at Division I program Texas A&M University- Commerce before transferring to NCTC in Spring 2024. Each of these sophomores has played a valuable role in the success of the lion volleyball program throughout their collegiate careers.

The volleyball team is currently fighting for a spot at the regional tournament, as only the top four conference teams will advance. The team sits in 4th right now, and will be taking on the 3rd seed, looking to move up in the rankings. After the match on Wednesday, the lady lions will travel to Ranger for their final conference debut on Saturday, November 2nd.
