The Lady Lions named a handful of athletes to All-Conference Teams for the 2019 Season.
Sophomore Megan Harris and Freshman Malley Morris were named to Second Team All Conference Region V.
Harris, finished top in the nation for Aces and Service Aces / Set. She had standout attacking numbers vs Hill College and Vernon College to help NCTC Clench Regular Season Championship Title. She also anchored the team defensively throughout the year.
Morris, was named player of the week once this season while finishing top in the Conference for Points Scored and Kills / Set.
Sophomores Jordan Babcock and Jocelyn Grewing were named to First Team All Conference as Well as All Region V Team.
Grewing, played on both pins this season and was also honored with a player of the week award once. She finished third on the team in Kills behind Babcock and Morris.
Babcock is a team captain and was named to the NCTC All Tournament Team at the beginning of the season. She led the team in Kills and finished top in the nation for Kills, Hitting Percentage, Block Solo, Block Total, Blocks, Points, Points / Set.
Sophomore Meredith McPeek was named Defensive Player of the Year for Region V.
McPeek, finished top in the nation for Digs and Digs / Set and led the Conference the entire year. She was named all-tournament at the NCTC Invitational and tabbed Player of the Week three times during the season.
Sophomore Allie Hamsher was named Player of the Year for Region V.
Hamsher, a team captain, was named player of the week twice this year and all tournament as the Rose City Classic as well as the MVP of the NCTC Invitational. She finished 18th in the nation for assists and 22nd for assists / set. She was also top 50 in Service Aces. She led the conference in multiple categories.
Head Coach Angie Bullard was named Coach of the Year for Region V.
This was Coach Angie Bullard's 20th season at NCTC. She has had multiple players move on to play at 4 Year Universities and led the team to a Regular Season Title this year.
