The Lady Lion's heavy travel season slows as they prepare to open for conference.
The Lions competed at Navarro's Labor Day Tournament where they topped Western Texas, but fell to ranked Odessa, Navarro and Hill Opponents. Hattie Murray tabbed all-tournament honors after hitting at a .444, .214, and .455 clip vs those ranked opponents and pitched in 7 blocks on the weekend. Freshman Allie Hamsher was in almost every stat category throughout all matches including the win over the defending NJCAA Division 3 Champion Eastfield the week before. Her performance snagged her the first Player of the Week Honor for Region 5.
The Lions host the NCTC Invitational this weekend with matches at 9am and 1pm on both Friday and Saturday.
