Top 6 Regionally-Ranked Women's Golf Heads to Conference Tournament

The future continues to brighten for the women's golf team, as they have strong sophomore leadership going into the NJCAA Women's Southwest District Championship. The tournament began April 28th and finishes up on May 1st.

Sophomore Kylee Rutledge leads the NCTC lions in ranking, as she holds her place in the top 20 for the region. Rutledge's top performance for the year includes a top 7 finish at the Tank Logix Golf Tournament this spring. Sophomores Maddie Knodle and Amaya Johnson has also put up impressive results this season as Knodle finished in the top 8 at the Blinn College Invitational, and Johnson in the top 12.

In only the second season of women's golf at NCTC, Coach Scott Langley has helped to build the women's program, as they currently sit 6th in the regional rankings. After a fourth overall finish at the Blinn College Invitational, the lady lions have moved up in the national rankings, at 22nd. Lion athletics has high hopes for the team as they compete at the Conference Championship Tournament!
