Lady Lions Loses Lead Early In Defeat Navarro 13 – Lady Lions 7

 

Lady Lions watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in a 13-7 loss to Navarro College Bulldogs Varsity on Friday. Navarro College Bulldogs Varsity scored on a single by Harley Davis, an error, an error, an error, and a single by Bailey Bowers in the second inning.

Lady Lions collected 11 hits and Navarro College Bulldogs Varsity had 15 in the high-scoring affair.

Lady Lions Grabs Lead In Fifth Inning For Victory Over NTCC Softball North Central 4 – Northeast 3

Lady Lions defeated NTCC Softball- Spring 2020 4-3 on Friday after taking the lead late in the game. The game was tied at three with Lady Lions batting in the bottom of the fifth when Kenzlee Zaher singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run.

NTCC Softball- Spring 2020 scored three runs in the fifth inning, but Lady Lions still managed to pull out the victory. The big inning for NTCC Softball- Spring 2020 came thanks to a groundout by Haylee Wilson, an error on a ball put in play by Lauren Isbell, and a double by Kadi Downs.

Lady Lions fired up the offense in the first inning, when Zaher doubled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run.

Elizabeth Schroeter earned the win for Lady Lions. She went seven innings, allowing three runs on eight hits and striking out six.

Collyn Schuricht took the loss for NTCC Softball- Spring 2020. She surrendered four runs on eight hits over six innings.

Zaher went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Lady Lions in hits.

NTCC Softball- Spring 2020 saw the ball well today, racking up eight hits in the game. Downs and Jayci Hightower all had multiple hits for NTCC Softball- Spring 2020. Downs led NTCC Softball- Spring 2020 with three hits in four at bats.

 

Lady Lions Clinches Lead In Fifth Inning For Victory Over Cowley County NCTC 10 – Cowley 5

Lady Lions snagged a late lead and defeated Cowley County 10-5 on Saturday. Lady Lions was down 4-3 in the bottom of the fifth inning when Kenzlee Zaher doubled on a 1-1 count, scoring two runs.

Lady Lions earned the victory despite allowing Cowley County to score four runs in the first inning. #21#8#19, and #4 each had RBIs in the big inning.

Cowley County fired up the offense in the first inning. #21 singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

Kylie Bowen took the win for Lady Lions. She allowed four hits and one run over six and a third innings, striking out nine and walking zero.

#30 took the loss for Cowley County. She lasted two innings, allowing three hits and three runs while striking out two.

#14 started the game for Cowley County. She allowed seven hits and seven runs over four innings, striking out three Sylvia Murillo started the game for Lady Lions. She went two-thirds of an inning, allowing four runs on four hits and striking out one

Lady Lions racked up ten hits on the day. Murillo and Samantha Coker all managed multiple hits for Lady LionsMurillo led Lady Lions with three hits in three at bats. Lady Lions was sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Coker made the most plays with ten.

Cowley County totaled eight hits. #21 and #19 all managed multiple hits for Cowley County. #21 went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Cowley County in hits.

 

Big Sixth Inning Propels Lady Lions To Victory Over NTCC Softball Lady Lions 8 – Northeast 2

A five-run sixth inning led Lady Lions to an 8-2 victory on Saturday. Ariana RoblesElizabeth SchroeterKenzlee Zaher, and Jessie Frausto powered the big inning with RBIs.

NTCC Softball- Spring 2020 took an early lead in the second inning. NTCC Softball- Spring 2020 scored one run when Analise Padilla singled.

Lady Lions took the lead for good with two runs in the third inning. In the third Zaher doubled on a 0-2 count, scoring two runs.

Lady Lions notched five runs in the sixth inning. The offensive firepower by Lady Lions was led by RoblesSchroeterZaher, and Frausto, all sending runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.

Gabriela Lopez led the Lady Lions to victory on the rubber. She lasted four innings, allowing five hits and two runs while striking out one and walking zero. Schroeter threw three innings in relief out of the bullpen. Schroeter recorded the last nine outs to earn the save for Lady Lions.

Averie Ayers started the game for NTCC Softball- Spring 2020. She surrendered six runs on seven hits over five and two-thirds innings, striking out four. Emily Cole threw one-third of an inning in relief.

Lady Lions totaled nine hits in the game. Robles and Zaher all managed multiple hits for Lady LionsZaher and Robles each managed two hits to lead Lady Lions.
