Lion Baseball Tops Arkansas Baptist to close out series

The Lion Baseball Team won four games against Arkansas Baptist. The Game Recaps Below: 

 

Game 1 

Clay Stevens Drives In Four To North Central Texas Lions Victory Over Arkansas Baptist University

Clay Stevens was an RBI machine on Friday, driving in four on two hits to lead North Central Texas Lions past Arkansas Baptist University 13-1 on Friday. Stevens drove in runs on a home run in the second and a single in the fifth.

North Central Texas Lions got on the board in the first inning. Josh Blankenship grounded out into a double play but still was able to knock in one run.

North Central Texas Lions notched three runs in the sixth inning. Rance Rosas had an RBI single in the inning to lead the run scoring.

Zeke Wood pitched North Central Texas Lions to victory. He lasted four innings, allowing zero hits and zero runs while striking out six and walking zero. Sam Clark and Quincy Cooper entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.

Bo Carter took the loss for Arkansas Baptist University. He went four innings, allowing seven runs on five hits.

North Central Texas Lions socked two home runs on the day. Stevens went for the long ball in the second inning. Anderson Acinger had a dinger in the fifth inning.

North Central Texas Lions collected ten hits. Rosas, Acinger, and Stevens each had multiple hits for North Central Texas Lions. Stevens, Acinger, and Rosas all had two hits to lead North Central Texas Lions. North Central Texas Lions tore up the base paths, as two players stole at least two bases. Sam Haigwood led the way with two.

 

Game 2 

 

Jordan Powell didn't allow a single run against Arkansas Baptist University, throwing a complete game shutout and leading North Central Texas Lions to a 10-0 victory on Friday

North Central Texas Lions secured the victory thanks to seven runs in the fourth inning. The offensive firepower by North Central Texas Lions was led by Will Sebera, Sam Haigwood, Josh Blankenship, and Bobby Serfass, who all drove in runs.

North Central Texas Lions notched seven runs in the fourth inning. North Central Texas Lions big bats were led by Sebera, Haigwood, Blankenship, and Serfass, all driving in runs in the frame.

A single by Nick McMullen in the fifth inning was a positive for Arkansas Baptist University.

Hart toed the rubber for Arkansas Baptist University. He allowed six hits and eight runs over three and two-thirds innings, striking out three. Webb threw one inning in relief.

Pitching By Rhett Shuts Out Arkansas Baptist University, North Central Texas Lions Takes The Win

Rhett Kouba threw a shutout to lead North Central Texas Lions past Arkansas Baptist University 10-0 on Saturday.

North Central Texas Lions opened up scoring in the first inning, when Josh Blankenship doubled on a 3-2 count, scoring one run.

North Central Texas Lions tallied four runs in the third inning. North Central Texas Lions put the pressure on, lead by doubles by Kevin Perez and Clay Stevens and a groundout by Kaddin Mikulik.

A single by Nick McMullen in the first inning was a positive for Arkansas Baptist University.

Kouba got the start for North Central Texas Lions. He lasted six innings, allowing three hits and zero runs while striking out six and walking one.

John White led things off on the pitcher's mound for Arkansas Baptist University. He went four innings, allowing eight runs on nine hits. Ethan Lacy threw one inning in relief.

North Central Texas Lions collected 11 hits on the day. Blankenship, Rance Rosas, and Stevens each racked up multiple hits for North Central Texas Lions. Stevens, Rosas, and Blankenship each collected two hits to lead North Central Texas Lions. North Central Texas Lions was sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Nixon Brannan had the most chances in the field with six.

Two North Central Texas Lions Pitchers Rally Together In Shutout Victory Against Arkansas Baptist University

North Central Texas Lions defeated Arkansas Baptist University 12-0 on Saturday as two pitchers combined to throw a shutout. Dawson Beard induced a groundout from Nick McMullen to finish off the game.

Colby Seltzer led North Central Texas Lions to victory by driving in five runs. He went 2-for-3 at the plate. Seltzer drove in runs on a double in the second and a home run in the fifth.

A single by Andrew Morgan in the second inning was a positive for Arkansas Baptist University.

Jarod Seals pitched North Central Texas Lions to victory. He surrendered zero runs on one hit over four innings, striking out four and walking zero. Beard threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.

Portoungh took the loss for Arkansas Baptist University. He went one and two-thirds innings, allowing six runs on six hits.

North Central Texas Lions socked two home runs on the day. Seltzer went for the long ball in the fifth inning. Rance Rosas had a four bagger in the second inning.
